Telemetry Modernization Specification

Cross-adapter contract for telemetry, evidence, and audit

The telemetry domain specification defines the substrate contract for turning runtime signals into assessor-ready evidence with traceable provenance.

Contract requirements

  • Every component emits telemetry in canonical claim form.
  • Telemetry is treated as control input, not as after-the-fact reporting.
  • Every claim carries a full provenance envelope (issuer, source classification, transformation chain, lineage hash).
  • Evidence bundles are assembled, sealed, and emitted deterministically.
  • Drift findings are first-class artifacts in the authorization package, not a parallel log.

Integration shape

Telemetry from multiple planes is normalized into a single claim shape before it reaches any SIEM or governance tool. The combination is reproducible from raw telemetry plus the authoritative source.

Control mapping

The domain closes controls related to continuous monitoring, audit and accountability, and system and information integrity by making evidence regenerable and hash-verifiable.
